How Much Will a Debt Management Company Charge Me?

 So you are neck deep in debt and wondering just how you are going to get yourself out of this financial mess.
You have been researching debt management companies, but you are unsure as to how much they actually charge for their services. Their web sites are vague when it comes to this, just hinting at "a small fee" that the company will charge.
While each company is different, most companies will charge you a fixed monthly fee for their services. Some companies will charge you more the larger the number of creditors that you have; some companies will charge you a fixed rate no matter how many companies you are dealing with.
You shouldn't be surprised to find that most debt management companies will charge you in the neighborhood of 30 - 35 pounds per month as a fixed fee. Normally the repayment agreement will run for 60 months (five months), so you will be expected to pay that fee every month that the plan is in effect. The debt management company will simply deduct your fee from your single monthly payment before they disperse your payments to all of the different creditors that you have.
If a company wants to charge you more than that, then you should really shop around for a better deal. There are many reputable debt management companies out there, and you shouldn't just go with the first company that you see listed. If you shop around, you can find a good deal with a reputable company. Spend a couple of days doing your research, and you won't be sorry.
